Disclosures — How This Site Earns
The short version: We earn referral fees when you apply for a product through one of our partner links. This is how we keep the site free. Our editorial content is written independently of our business relationships — compensation does not influence our evaluations, rankings, or recommendations.
How This Site Earns
learnhomefinance is a free educational resource. We do not charge readers for access to our guides, reviews, comparisons, or tools. Our revenue comes from referral fees paid by partner companies when a reader clicks through to a partner's website and takes a qualifying action, such as submitting an application.
This is an affiliate-based revenue model. It's the same model used by NerdWallet, Bankrate, Credit Karma, and most independent financial content sites. We believe in being transparent about it.
What This Means for You
When you see a link on our site that takes you to a partner's website, that link contains a tracking identifier. If you apply for a product through that link, the partner pays us a referral fee. You pay nothing extra — the fee comes from the partner, not from you.
This compensation may influence which products we choose to cover on the site and where those products appear. However, it does not affect the substance of our editorial content, including our evaluations, comparisons, or analysis of any product.

This list is updated as new partnerships are established. We will add partners to this table as they become active. If a product is reviewed on our site but the provider is not listed above, we do not have a financial relationship with that provider.
Editorial Independence
Our editorial process is separate from our business relationships. Here's what that means in practice:
- Partners do not review, approve, or influence our content before publication.
- We cover products from companies we do not have referral agreements with. If a product is relevant to our readers, we write about it regardless of whether we earn revenue from it.
- We will publish critical analysis of partner products when warranted. A referral relationship does not earn a company favorable coverage.
- Our comparison pages and reviews are written by our editorial team based on publicly available information, product documentation, and industry research.
Our commitment: If we ever believe a partner's product is not suitable for a reader's situation, we will say so — even if it costs us revenue. Editorial neutrality is the foundation of this platform. Without it, we have nothing.
What We Are Not
To be clear about what learnhomefinance is and is not:
- We are not a lender, mortgage broker, or loan originator.
- We are not a financial advisor, investment advisor, or tax advisor.
- We do not process applications, make lending decisions, or have access to your financial information.
- We do not guarantee approval, rates, terms, or any specific outcome from any product or provider.
- We are not licensed under the NMLS. We are not required to be, as we do not originate loans or act as a broker.
Our role is education. We help you understand your options. The decisions are yours.
Where Disclosures Appear on the Site
On pages that contain affiliate links (such as provider reviews and comparison pages), you will see a disclosure banner near the top of the content that reads:
“Some products featured here are from partners who compensate us. This may influence which products we cover, but it does not affect our evaluations.”
Pages that do not contain affiliate links (such as educational guides and this disclosures page) do not display this banner.
